Stealing Gold

U.S. Alpine Ski Team racer, Peter Buckar, is a fierce competitor and admired by most. He is the top medal contender in multiple races in the upcoming Winter Olympics. Just weeks prior to the Games, Peter crashes badly on an icy Downhill race course in Chamonix, France. Unconscious, he is flown to the hospital. Days later, still comatose, Peter is kidnapped from his hospital bed. Is it for ransom? Does a competitor, or an official from a competing country want to keep him from racing in the Olympics? Or is the reason more nefarious? The list of suspects quickly grows as Reid Clark’s Chief of Security, along with French law enforcement, and other international agencies work together to find Peter before it’s too late.

  1. Reed Farrel Coleman, New York Times Bestselling author of Where It Hurts

With sharply drawn characters and a plot as twisty and dangerous as a Super-G race on an icy course, Balkind’s Stealing Gold gives new meaning to the term a slippery slope.

  2. Deica Ruiz

You don’t need to be a skier to enjoy this ride.
